Frequently Asked Questions
Why is your training so much cheaper than other schools?
One of the founding tenants of Emerald Valley Institute is providing accessibility and equity. We believe in order to provide lower-cost psilocybin services it starts with offering a high-quality lower-cost training for future facilitators. In order to achieve making services accessible for all we have made it foundational to provide low-cost training for those called to enter this field of work.
Your program is shorter than other schools does that mean its not as good as other training programs?
All schools teach the same amount of curriculum hours, we just teach it in a shorter time frame enabling you to obtain your licensure faster. If you would like to take it at a slower pace we keep our classrooms open for 12 months to give students additional time to complete their work. We hire the top instructors in the industry who are currently working in the field of psychedelics. Our instructors are respected experts and have a variety of accomplishments such as speaking at renowned national and global conferences, conduct research at top institutions and are published by highly esteemed publications such as MAPS.
Does practicum come included in the flat rate tuition?
Our 40 Hour In Person Practicum at our Emerald Valley Campus in Eugene Oregon is included in the flat rate tuition. We do have additional practicum offerings at Licensed Service Centers in Oregon where students can get direct real-world work experience and be mentored by a licensed psilocybin facilitator during a psilocybin session with a client. These mentorships and alternative practicum options are not included in the flat rate tuition. Students can also elect to pursue this option for additional experience after completing their certification.
