Why is your training so much cheaper than other schools?
One of the founding tenants of Emerald Valley Institute is providing accessibility and equity.
We believe in order to provide lower-cost psilocybin services it starts with offering a high-quality
lower-cost training for future facilitators. In order to achieve
making services accessible for all we have made it foundational to provide
low-cost training for those called to enter this field of work.
Does practicum come included in the flat rate tuition?
Our 40 Hour In Person Practicum at our Emerald Valley Campus in Eugene Oregon is included in the flat rate tuition. We do have additional
practicum offerings at Licensed Service Centers in Oregon where students can get direct real-world work experience and be mentored by
a licensed psilocybin facilitator during a psilocybin session with a client. These mentorships and alternative practicum options are not included in the flat rate tuition. Students
can also elect to pursue this option for additional experience after completing their certification.
Other schools have other costs besides tuition, are there any additional expenses for your training?
No. We do not have any hidden costs. All of your learning material, classes, practicum, and your textbook are included in our flat rate cost.
Can I become a licensed Oregon Psilocybin Facilitator if I am not an Oregon resident?
Beginning Jan 1, 2025, Oregon will not require residency to become a licensed facilitator in Oregon.
Is your curriculum different than other schools?
Curriculum for Psilocybin Facilitator training programs in Oregon is mandated by the State of Oregon. Therefore, all schools
have the same curriculum. We do, however, have added and expanded curriculum that varies from other schools that has a focus on
trauma-informed practices, indigenous wisdom, studies in transpersonal psychology, and
foundational education concepts based on the works of Stanislav Grof, Carl Jung, and other great minds which sets us apart from other schools.
Do I need to be a licensed therapist or mental health professional to participate in the training?
You don't need to be a licensed therapist or mental health professional to join us.
We welcome diversity and appreciate individuals from all walks of life, recognizing that diverse perspectives enrich our learning
community. Whether you're exploring
a new career path in psychedelic therapy or seeking personal growth, our program is designed to be inclusive for all.
